Dinner Table is a machine that listens
in on table talk, spins stories according to the events surrounding
it and translates these events into games. Each dinner companion chooses
a piece at the beginning of the session. These pieces have pre-existing
dispositions and a history that condition the stories told. In response
to the conversational flow throughout dinner, the pieces move on a
surface reminiscent of a game board.
Dinner Table is sponsored in part by the Institute for Studies in the
Arts at Arizona State University.
