G is the constant in Newton’s Law
of Gravitation. The classic formula (inscribed in the negative in
the shoe soles) describes the attraction force of two bodies separated
by the distance R. For the purpose of this experiment the two bodies
are the shoe owner and the planet earth. As opposed to the other main
forces in physics, gravity continues, practically, to defy quantization.
