The Heat of Desire generates a scene
in the eye of the beholder by rotating disparate image fragments at
high speed. The rotation is triggered by a well-defined temperature,
27 C, the heat of desire. The opposition of the Morton Salt Girl and
the hobby scientist is visible only at elevated temperatures.
The materials used are wood, plexiglas, paper, a heat sensor, a dc
motor and an AA battery.
